The “Green Dream” Uniform & Dignity Pack

  UGX10,000

Inspired by the green uniforms from Dr. Jolly’s dream

A complete uniform set costs about 80,000 UGX, but a child’s dignity doesn’t start with the dress or shirt — it starts underneath. Many of our pupils, especially those newly arrived at Queen Esther Palace, own not a single pair of proper underwear.

  • With just 10,000 UGX: You give a child 2 pairs of underpants and a pair of school socks — the hidden foundation that lets a child sit, play, and learn without shame.

  • 20,000 UGX adds a green school polo shirt.

  • 40,000 UGX covers the full uniform (shirt/dress, shorts/skirt).

  • 80,000 UGX completes the full set with leather shoes and a school bag.

When you donate even 10,000 UGX, you are stitching a child into that dream of green uniforms, one garment at a time.

The “Safe Steps” Rain Protection Kit

  UGX10,000

Because a swamp once stood between children and their education

The Wakiso rains still flood footpaths, and a nursery child who arrives soaked will shiver through lessons or miss school entirely. The full kit costs 55,000 UGX, but a single small item can be the difference between a child turning back or pressing on.

  • With just 10,000 UGX: You provide a waterproof school bag cover and a pair of thick, warm socks to keep a child’s books dry and feet warm on the wettest mornings.

  • 20,000 UGX adds a heavy-duty rain poncho.

  • 35,000 UGX buys a pair of child-size gumboots.

  • 55,000 UGX completes the full kit with raincoat, boots, and umbrella.

Just as Dr. Jolly’s school became the dry land on the other side of the swamp, your 10,000 UGX becomes the safe step that carries a child through the mud to the classroom door.

The “Little Scholar” Learning Starter Kit

  UGX10,000

From the farmhouse veranda to the library, tools make the learner

In JCEC’s early days, children shared everything — a single stubby pencil passed among five hands. Today, a child who owns a small set of supplies is proud, attentive, and ready to learn. A full kit runs 44,000 UGX, but the essentials are beautifully simple.

  • With just 10,000 UGX: You give 1 box of 12 coloured wax crayons, 2 thick-lead pencils, a sharpener, an eraser, and a 32-page exercise book — a complete “starter station” for a nursery or P1 child.

  • 22,000 UGX adds a wooden counting abacus and a second exercise book.

  • 44,000 UGX fills a whole cloth pencil bag with all tools, including a small chalkboard slate.

*Every 10,000 UGX donation puts a full set of learning tools into two tiny hands that once held nothing but hope. It’s the farmhouse-to-blackboard miracle, repeated through you.*

  The “Good Morning Porridge” Cup

  UGX10,000

Filling tummies in the kitchen built by parent hands

JCEC’s own kitchen serves hot porridge each morning, but the ingredients must be bought. Many pupils — especially those from Queen Esther Palace — rely on this meal as their only breakfast. It costs approximately 1,000 UGX to feed one child a steaming mug of fortified porridge per day.

  • With just 10,000 UGX: You buy the maize flour, millet, sugar, and groundnut paste to feed one child a hot breakfast for two whole school weeks (10 days).

  • 20,000 UGX feeds a child for a month (20 school days).

  • 35,000 UGX covers a child’s full term of porridge.

  • 350,000 UGX feeds an entire nursery class for a term.

Every 10,000 UGX you donate is ten mornings of warm porridge, ten mornings of a child running to class instead of fainting on the mat. It’s love, ladled out daily in the same kitchen the first 22 pupils once used.
